Jay Lynch adds: Once again, exercise is a good thing for the body. In this article, WebMd.com gives tips for starting, or returning to, a heart-safe rehabilitation program if you’ve been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (AFib).
Among the many good points made in this article, you’ll find the following: “Doctors clear many people with this heart condition to start exercising right away. But before you start ramping up your workouts, ask your cardiologist (your heart doctor) if you need any tests.”
That sounds like advice to proceed with caution, but you’re may very well be free to start or continue your exercise program.
